Of broken promises and glimpses of possible happiness

So okay, I know I said I'd write everything down in my diary every day. Well, I sort of didn't. I know. Bad Basket Case. *sigh*

Anyway, I do need to write down what happened last night.

Salem had asked me to go to the movies with him, which I answered with an "OKAY!!!!111!11!!eleventyone!!1!", which earned me another one of his patented "0_o"-looks.

We went to see "Perfume" last night, which I can recommend by the way, although I wouldn't go see it if you can't appreciate a lot of female nakedness. There's something very wrong with that sentence, but meh, you're all smart enough to figure out what I mean.

Evie was also at the theatre with her boyfriend, and she wanted to go out for a drink afterwards. We all ended up in the kitschiest little cafe, where we spent an hour wondering whether the creature playing pool was a man or a woman. It definitely looked like a guy, but it had breasts. We didn't ask.

Then Evie sort of had a breakdown and had to go home with her boyfriend.

Salem and I decided to go for a walk because we didn't feel like going home yet. We ended up at a playground.

He sort of went all quiet and then asked me if it was okay to be serious for a moment. He asked me if I had any feelings for him, which I promptly admitted, and then went quiet again. *sigh* (Gosh, it's really hard to write this all down. I'm doing my best here, people.)

I said "So I guess you don't have any feelings for me, then", but he told me he did, though he wasn't quite sure yet what exactly they were.

He did hug me then, and we sat in silence for a while. It was quite nice, actually.

He said he wanted to kiss me, but he wasn't sure if it was a good idea. I told him that it was probably better to just wait until he was really sure about his feelings, because you can't take back something like that.

He apologized about a million times, and I reassured him that it was really okay, I could wait.

We hugged each other a little while longer and then went home.

I should probably be depressed or something, but I feel quite good actually. I guess it's just nice to have a "maybe" instead of a "no chance in hell". Meh. We'll see.

Anyway, I'll be sure to write it down when something else interesting happens.
