(no subject)

So I've done it again. Giving my phone number to a guy, I mean. (What were you thinking, pervs?)

He hasn't called yet. It's been 24 hours. I really should stop giving out my number. I really should stop falling for guys who work at the same damn bar. They need to stop hiring hot guys, damn it!

Okay, I guess I only told you about Bartender Guy The First. I shall not talk about him again.

Since then, there's been Bartender Guy The Second, who is also really cute and way out of my league. Libby tried to set him up with me, but he didn't really react and I never thought I stood a chance anyway. Hence the not really caring.

Now, there's Rose Guy, who was working Friday. Totally and utterly my type. Like, seriously. I may have drooled a little.

This wasn't the first time I'd seen him around, though. Not working, but hanging out with his friends at the bar. It was about a month ago, I think. I may have written something about it back then, but I'm too lazy to look it up. I gave him a rose then. Which is something I'm kind of proud of, because a year ago, I would rather have been mauled by hyenas. Yay, progress!

Anyway, I'm rambling because it's late and I'm tired and also kind of hyper. So, I saw him last night and I was trying feverishly to remember whether he was actually Rose Guy, because I've an awful memory for faces. Of course, I made my usual mistake of telling Libby this, and since she desperately wants to set me up, and possibly make me look like the most desperate girl on the planet, she went over to him and asked. And then ordered him to come over and talk to me. And then nagged at him for like an hour because he said he was too shy to do that.

Eventually, the poor guy realised that he could never stand up to the awesome nagging powers of the Libster, so he came over. We had a really short conversation that was mostly about how annoying Libby can be when she wants to. He did mention that he remembered my name, which made me do a little internal happy dance, because I'm usually so easily forgotten by everyone. (Btw, a name exchange was all that happened when I gave him the rose.)

Is anyone still following this, because I'm sure it's hardly even readable anymore. Should there be a question mark at the end of that sentence? Is my hyperness showing? Where was I?

Oh, right, he said he had to go back to work, and that he was feeling quite awkward, because his ex had actually been sitting right next to him during all of Libby's nagging. And she already kind of disliked me, because they were still sort of together when I gave him the rose. Which, ack! How do I always manage to do things like that?

Anyway, I offered to give him my number, if he was interested. He seemed enthousiastic about the idea. But he hasn't called yet. *sigh*
